Slate, Stone & Ceramic Tile
Epitomizing the term "hard-surface flooring,"
natural stone and fabricated tiles are true workhorses.
Long popular for high-traffic and high-moisture areas such as
kitchens, bathrooms, entries and mudrooms,
these materials are durable and water resistant.
Because stone and tile are available in a wide array of sizes,
colors and textures, and can be laid in any pattern,
they also provide the greatest degree of design flexibility of any flooring.

Ceramic tile
Natural stone (such as slate) and ceramic and porcelain tiles
are suitable for a variety of installations, including as counter top and wall tile.
It's easy to give your room a coordinated and finished look by carrying the same material
into your tub/shower enclosure, or onto your kitchen counter top or backsplash.
Natural Stone
Three of the most popular species
of genuine stone used for flooring
are slate, marble, and granite.
Because stone is made by Mother
Nature and not a factory, no two
pieces are exactly alike, and the
natural variations in color and
pattern add interest

Natural stone flooring is available
in cut tile sizes ranging from
approximately 4" to 24".  Slate is
also available in irregular shape
tiles allowing a random pattern.
Slate also has a naturally irregular
surface texture that gives it
built-in anti-slip properties.

non-allergenic.  It comes in a wide
variety of shapes and sizes from

Porcelain Tile
Porcelain tile is manufactured
much the same as ceramic, but is
more dense, and more durable.
It is suited to medium and high
traffic applications.

Porcelain tile is available in the
same sizes and shapes as ceramic.
The look and texture of the tile
can range from smooth to a rustic
terra cotta style, or those that
replicate slate, or even wood.

Mixing different colors, or laying
tile in a pattern gives you added
design options - make a statement!
